Turks & Caicos Me, Please

Remember, years ago, when LisaRaye McCoy married the Chief Minister of Turks & Caicos and Black women everywhere were celebrating what we thought was a real life “queeeeen to beeee” πŸ˜„ We were so happy for “Diamond”! (The Players Club reference).

I had heard of the islands before, but it wasn’t until then that I realized it could be an affordable vacation destination. I was finally able to check it off my bucket list in 2019, and it did NOT disappoint! Located 575 miles southeast of Miami, FL, this was the most beautiful, clear water with crystal white sand… pure paradise.

I experienced this heaven on earth while on a girls’ trip, and we opted for a private villa that could accommodate our large group. We resided at Casa Barana which is located on the island of Providenciales (β€œProvo”) – the most popular island, along the world- famous Grace Bay Beach.

The private beach, just yards away from our pool, was beautiful, but we didn’t get in the water once we saw some baby sharks (do do do do do doo). We did most of our beach time at the resorts along Grace Bay Beach where the beachfronts are definitely more manicured and clean.

From lunch at the Conch Shack to dinner at Hemingway’s, all of the food was delicious and fresh. When you go, try to schedule your days to include the island Fish Fry where you’ll see all types of vendors, food and live music.

This one is definitely on my “revisit list” and gets 5 out of 5 Black Auntie Vibes! πŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ πŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
